On the water · MIAMI SPEEDBOAT TOURS
Good miami speedboat tours fill their seats weeks ahead and the small boats go first. Below: the 7 to book early, what the fare covers and how they differ.
Cruise from Bayside Marketplace past Miami’s cruise port, Star Island, Fisher Island, South Beach, and the Atlantic Ocean. A captain and guide, sometimes including Juan or Elijah, combine Miami stories with fast turns at up to 40 mph. Expect music, strong sun, wind, and possible sea spray.
“My kids loved the experience! It was exciting and fun. Everyone was happy with music and the beautiful views”
Ride a power catamaran from Bayside Marketplace into the Atlantic, past Star Island, Fisher Island, Miami Beach, and South Beach. A live English-speaking guide combines Miami history and celebrity-home sightings with music, jokes, sharp turns, and open-water speed. Guides such as Manny, Alex, Chris, Darius, and Gilbert have helped make this a lively outing.
“The sunset was amazingly beautiful. Guide with a great sense of humor, nice music. We rode with the wind, had a great time. I recommend.”
Set out from Watson Island on a private six-person speedboat with guides such as Mike or Ashton. You’ll cruise Biscayne Bay, Star Island, South Beach, Fisher Island, and Millionaires Row, mixing local history with fast open-water runs. Water, ice, and coolers are provided, but bring clothes that can handle spray.
“A stunning experience and chance to see Miami from a unique view. The adrenaline rush is huge if you haven't been in a speedboat before too!”
Spend about five hours touring Miami with a local guide such as Christian or Hagen, then ride the Thriller speedboat from Bayside Marketplace. See Wynwood, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, South Beach, Star Island, and the Miami skyline. Hotel pickup is offered, though some Miami Beach hotels require a nearby meeting point.
“Christian was amazing 👏🏾 very knowledgeable on the culture & history of Miami. He was very patient with us, gave us bathroom breaks, and keep us informed the whole time. I give this a 5 out of 5”
You’ll start at 401 Biscayne Boulevard, cruise by boat past Miami Beach mansions, then spend an hour on a jet ski in Biscayne Bay. Instructors speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Beginners are welcome, but confirm the final jet ski price and pickup details before booking.
Meet Miami Watersports at Pier 9 in Dinner Key Marina for a one-hour Sea-Doo ride in a designated bay zone. An instructor guides you in English, French, or Spanish while you enjoy open water and skyline views. Bring your ID, allow time for the boating exam if required, and plan for a $150 card-only damage deposit per ski.
“This place is so much fun! We came for jet skis and ended up doing parasailing at the same spot, both were incredible. The team was super friendly and made it an unforgettable experience!”
Meet Mia Tourist Center at Miami Beach Marina for paperwork, a possible boating license, a thrilling jet boat ride, music and drinks at a party platform, then a guided Jet Ski session. Lorenzo and Julian are part of the praised crew. Children 5 and under cannot ride Jet Skis.
